The Breg® Polar Care Glacier Cold Therapy System balances the needs of the patient and the clinician. Its easy-to-use, feature-rich design makes it a great choice for hospital use. With the addition of ice and water, your patients will enjoy up to 13 hours of cold therapy according to their own comfort level. At a capacity of 11 quarts of water, the Glacier gives you the largest capacity cooler on the market which equates to many hours of cool soothing relief.

Proper use requires an insulation barrier between the pad and the patient’s skin. Federal law restricts this device to sale by or on the order of a medical professional.

Excellent product and service

I really do like this product. I have had over 9 knee surgeries and have used many different cold therapy systems. This system is super quiet and it last all night without having to add additional ice. I used frozen water bottles with cold water and it works great.

I also give ColdTherapyMachines 5 stars. The online ordering process was very easy and the product was shipped the very next day. I also received an email from one of the owners thanking me for the order. I highly recommend ColdTherapyMachines.

Good ...but

I used a Breg Polar Care 20 years ago when I had ACL surgery. So I made sure to have a Polar Care for my knee replacement. At $386, I found it to be a little pricey, but necessary.
My one complaint is that the handle does not lock the lid down tight when in the upright locked position. In fact the lid pops up when the handle is in the locked position, to get the lid to stay closed you must leave the handle down in the unlocked position. For the price, I expected a much higher quality cooler.

My wife had knee replacement done. Keeping her knee iced was must. Product works very well. Just fill with ice and water and you’re good to go. Much better than having to use ice packs and constantly having to change them. Would definitely recommend this product.
