A cold-only ice machine for knee surgery
This listing pairs the Breg Polar Care Cube with a knee WrapOn pad. It's meant for patients heading home after a total knee replacement, ACL reconstruction, meniscus repair or another knee procedure where the surgeon has ordered continuous cold but not compression. The Cube is one of Breg's simplest units: no modes or dials, just ice, water and a pump.
In the box

Breg requires a barrier between pad and skin; a fitted Cube sterile dressing is the easy option. Bilateral knee patients can run two pads from one cooler with the Cube dual Y connector.
Regular or XL knee pad?
- Regular knee (04700): 10.25″ x 11.25″
- XL knee (04705): 12.25″ x 19″, which reaches farther above and below the joint

Setting it up after surgery
Add ice to the ice line and water to the water line, snap the knee pad's hose onto the cooler, wrap the pad's elastic straps around your leg over the dressing, then plug in. The pump circulates ice water through the pad continuously, and Breg says each ice refill gives roughly 6 to 8 hours of cold. With a Polar Dressing in place, the pad averages 45°F or warmer. The cooler weighs about 4 lb empty (14.5 lb filled) and sits on a roughly 12″ x 12″ footprint beside a bed or recliner; the cord is close to 4 ft long.
Own it or rent one?
Knee rentals usually run on a weekly fee and must be returned. A Cube is yours for the full recovery, and it's ready again if the other knee needs surgery later. Can I sleep with the Cube on my knee?
Breg's patient instructions include separate awake and asleep lines for your prescriber to fill in, so overnight use depends on what your prescription says. Skin checks are typically every 1 to 2 hours.

Cube or Aircast Cryo Cuff for my knee?
The Cube circulates cold only. The Cryo Cuff IC adds intermittent compression through its cuff. Ask your surgeon whether compression is part of your plan.
Will these knee pads fit a Kodiak or Wave?
No. WrapOn pads fit the Cube, Glacier and Cub only.
