If you have inherited a Breg Polar Care Cube from a friend, you might find that the gasket has dry rotted. This is common for rubber gaskets that are not properly maintained over a several year period.

Replacing the Gasket on a Polar Care Cube/Kodiak Lid
- Remove the old gasket. If a gasket is already installed, carefully peel it away from the lid.
- Clean the surface. Remove any remaining adhesive or glue from the lid so the surface is clean, dry, and smooth before installing the new gasket.
- Prepare the new gasket. Peel off the backing to expose the adhesive.
- Align the gasket. Starting at one end, carefully line up the gasket with the groove on the underside of the lid.
- Press the gasket into place. Slowly press the gasket onto the lid, working your way around the opening. Apply firm, even pressure along the entire length of the gasket to ensure it adheres securely.
- Check the installation. Verify that the gasket is evenly aligned and fully attached with no gaps, twists, or lifted edges before using the machine again.
Tip: Once the gasket makes contact with the lid, avoid pulling it back up, as this can reduce the strength of the adhesive. Take your time when aligning it before pressing it firmly into place.
