I am not happy with my purchase. I paid almost $370 for my machine And I think that there are many flaws to this system. The out let and the hose are mashed or crunched by the handle. I have tried turning the handle the other direction or putting the cord under the handle but if you do it that way you have to unplug it all before picking it up. I was very shocked there was no type of a timer on the system or a remote control. There are many other systems online for $200 less that had some type of a remote or a timer.
The lid holds at least a cup of water inside of it and so when you have to change the ice or ice bags, The water that is retained inside of the lid goes all over your floor unless you hold the lid upside down over the bucket for several minutes shaking it before you can lay it down and change your ice. I had a meniscus repair and I did not think I would have to do all of this work to get relief. Another big flaw is the heaviness and hardness of the clamp that the joins the two hoses. My meniscus repair was on my right leg And because I sleep on the left side of the bed that big heavy clap has to lay across my ankle or my ankle which is very uncomfortable. I have to use a sock or ace wrap to cover up that clamp. I feel like you could have provided something to go over it because it is heavy and in the way. I wish I could return this for a different model. I keep feeling like I could have ordered something much cheaper and be more satisfied. Sorry to submit such a bad review but I'm not happy and I think all of these things could have been different. The outlet could have been placed in a different spot, there could be a hook on the bucket to hang the lid so that the water would drip inside of the bucket and not all over my floor, You could have pro vided something to go over the clamp, that either has to sit on my injured or under my good leg.
I ordered the Polar Care wave for overnight delivery because I urgently needed it to speed recovery so I could travel for my birthday. I was pleased It arrived on time. I wanted to get used to the machine so I barely used it on the first day, just one 30 minute session and one 40 minute session- and then it stopped working. Now I have to wait for the warranty claims process to be sent a replacement. A week since delivery and I'm still using ice packs. I wonder if I would be in this situation if I went with a machine from a different brand, or a different supplier.

A "knee replacement sister" highly suggested I get this exact machine and I am so thankful I spent the money on it!
I can't even begin to imagine getting through this difficult recovery without it! I'm so glad I spent the extra money to get the machine with the compression feature, which is really helping with the extremely swollen tissues in my knee. I'm having my second knee done in a few months and knowing I have this machine to help me get through again gives me peace of mind. This is not easy surgery to recover from.
We are in our late 70's and various and sundry other issues and will probably be ordering pads for shoulders/back, etc to help us as we age and do PT.
