The Universal pad is the Wave's most flexible wrap. One 13 x 12.5 in pad with three long straps can be wrapped around a shoulder, knee, thigh or calf, which makes it a good fit if you are not sure which joint you will need, or if you will treat more than one area during recovery. The Wave pumps ice water through the pad and also squeezes it gently on a cycle. That pressure helps move swelling out while the cold calms soreness, which is why many surgeons ask for it after shoulder replacement, reverse shoulder replacement or rotator cuff repair.
